about suri

when suri first opened its doors, ceviche was still a novelty for many são paulo locals. our idea was never just to serve a typical dish, but to create a place where the kitchen, drinks, music and hospitality translated the latin way of welcoming people.

that’s how suri was born: inspired by the ceviche counters of the pacific coast, neighborhood bars, colorful markets and the full tables that are part of latin american culture. a restaurant where the fish is prepared to order, the drinks are made to go with the food, and every meal is an invitation to stay a little longer.

over more than fifteen years, we’ve watched the city discover new flavors while suri evolved too. today, ceviche is still our signature, but we tell a much bigger story.

our menu travels through different regions of latin america, bringing together recipes from peru, mexico, the caribbean and the andes in an author’s kitchen, made with brazilian ingredients, fresh fish and a lot of respect for their origins. in the glass, piscos, tequilas, south american wines and cocktails complete the journey.

our new home, in pinheiros, marks this new chapter. more space, more comfort, and the same essence that has always made suri a latin meeting point: for lunches that turn into afternoons, happy hours that run into dinner, and tables that always find room for one more chair.

more than serving food, we want to bring people closer to the richness of latin american gastronomy.
